For the most part, the audience erupted in cheers when Amerado was named the winner, showing their support for his long-awaited victory. He also paid tribute to Frimpong, King Palutta, and all Kumasi-based rappers, encouraging them to pursue their dreams, as he did.

During the event, rumours of an affair between Amerado and Delay intensified, with many speculating that their close relationship was more than just a professional one. However, Amerado has vehemently denied the rumours, explaining that Delay’s support was organic and natural.

According to the rapper, Delay naturally adores him and supported his craft, and there was nothing engineered about their relationship to gain popularity. He believes that her support goes beyond just liking him, as she hardly opens up to people, and he feels lucky to be closer to her.

In summary, Amerado’s shoutout to Delay at the VGMA 24 was a heartfelt expression of gratitude for her support. While rumours of a romantic relationship between the two continue to swirl, Amerado maintains that their connection is purely professional and based on a shared passion for music.
